Providing Water Facility to a Pre-School in Alambil, Mullaithivu

We hope you remember Alambil Pre-school in Mullaithivu that was re-built by Assist RR in Aug 2103.  At the re-opening ceremony, Assist RR was requested by the school administration for a well to be constructed as they were forced to fetch water from outside the school.  An Australian friend of Assist RR, who was present at the ceremony came forward and agreed to fund it himself.  It was decided to construct the well after the rainy season in order to reach the level that would ensure availability of water even in summer seasons.  A tube well has now been constructed and was made available for use on 24 March 2014. Teachers and children were very pleased that they have access to water inside the school premises with venturing out for water.  Your kind donations are certainly making changes to the lives of innocent victims of war in the East and North of Sri Lanka.  Please kindly continue to support our efforts, which would assist the unfortunate people back home.
